Day 171 4pm Monday 25th November 2019 ( UTC-4 )
The almost following North North Easter got up above 25 knots with the result that L'Eau Commotion was tending to round up under the double reefed main alone. A bit of unfurled jib didn't help so the main was stowed. Even when the wind is quite strong I set some jib and head up into the wind which allows the main to drop freely into the lazy jacks and is easily held secure with three sail ties round the boom. Total cloud cover and almost continuous light misty drizzle has been our lot since last but with a hot water bottle blankets and cocoa we are bearing up admirably in the snug dry cabin. On occasion an albatross will peep in through the plexiglass but otherwise the only signs of change is the steady movement of L'Eau Commotion's avatar across the face of the chart plotter.
