Sunday Morning On The Bay
08 December 2019 | Bahia Salvacion, Chile
Day 184 3pm Sunday 8th December 2019 ( UTC-5 )
After a decent offing the plod to the North was carried on through the night with a gradual veering to the North of a moderate breeze putting us well into Bahia Salvacion. I hope no one lost any sleep as did I keeping an eye out for any breaking seas in the blue areas marking shallows on my large scale chart. For a change there were quite long periods of good visibility though showers of misty rain coming through would wipe everything out. This photo was taken of the North Western entrance. It was all very nice with the reduced winds and lesser swell and I must admit some of the little coves looked snug and inviting but these silly thoughts were shrugged off and here we are again under double reefed main battling a Nor'Nor'Wester which is quite as strong as it is supposed to be. The good news is this is supposed to back to the West after midnight then give us a nice run up the coast. For a change!
