Day 189 3pm Friday 13th December 2019 ( UTC-5 )
Last evening the pounding into the Nor'Wester got a bit much so the staysail was furled and a second reef put in the main. This worked out fine as we still made a little Westing and a comfortable rest was had. Right on schedule at 2am the full moon burst out into a clear grey blue morning twilight sprinkled with the odd star or two and virtually no wind. At 3am In came the quite fresh breeze, we went about set the staysail and romped away Northwards. Gradually some jib was shown and now it is all out and the staysail furled which is as about as much as required on this beam reach. We are running a little to the right of direct track to Crusoe but the main aim at the moment is to put as much space as possible between us and the next couple of lows due in the South West sector.
