Just to make sure there were no impediments to progress during the night I got out the paper charts and saw that some of the rocks on my plotter hadn't been seen for 150 years so it's a pretty safe bet they've been washed away in the meantime. I also had a further look at the Cornell brothers Wind Atlas and that confounded High for January was plonked right where I was foolishly headed. Slowly but surely the cogs started to engage, plots plotted and decisions made so with a favourable Southerly the course was altered to the North West. Having done this I thought I'd have a final glance at my inbox and there was Ross one step ahead of me. Well done!
