Thank you all for the kind thoughts and encouragement expressed in these pages at this Christmas Of 2019 and in return I wish you the very best. I have been trying all sorts of settings to get L'Eau Commotion running more or or less downwind in this fresh South Easter with little luck. I discovered the mast fitting to take the inboard end of the spinnaker pole needs a little TLC and the jury rig while working in itself reasonably well could not give me the required course. Accordingly I am on a broad reach just shy of North with the jib sheeted to the end of the boom. In a way I am sure this will turn out for the best as it wii stop me from being sucked into one of those bottomless blue holes.
