The quartering breeze from the North East has been just a little strong on occasion causing us to round up. With the jib poled out to Port and fairly close sheeted this only results in a strong ruffle as against a heavy flog which could damage the clew of the sail and by tensing up and clenching the teeth a few moments later we are back on course. At present the breeze is ideal with L'Eau Commotion averaging close to six knots with no unnecessary swerving and we look forward to many similar days.
