Marcia my passenger certainly fits the description of a Dark Morph and to my surprise is still comfortably perched on the pulpit. Thanks for the research. Leigh my journey this time certainly started at the Gold Coast Seaway, Southport, Queensland and that's where I plan to finish in, hopefully, seven or eight weeks time. I can't see the GIS track but I assume after appearing for a certain number of months it cleans up as it goes. Bruce at this time of the year there is always the elephant in the atmosphere in the form of the North West Monsoon coming into contact with the South East Trades and should the conditions be right can form into a Tropical Cyclone. There has been one already this year called Sarai which crossed my proposed track with quite strong winds and the current convergence zone could well produce another but any influence will most likely be well to the West of my intended position. Subsequent lows could have an effect but that's for the future. At the moment we are travelling quite well wing and wing on a course taking us just North of Isles Gambier ( Mangareva )
