Rory and Suzie's Excellent Adventure

Suzie's parents are house sitting for a friend headed to Ireland. She lives near Zenda, KS. We headed out from Colorado for Dodge City, got there took some pictures and decided to continue on instead of saying in Dodge. Arrived to Suzie's parents place just in time for dinner. Their friend flew out for Ireland the next day and we had the run of the farm. We fixed some fence, fixed some barn doors and trimmed some trees to pay back for a place to stay. We went to dinner with an old farm friend at the "Lumberyard Steakhouse" in Zenda, KS. It was like going back in time, the farmer group is definitely aging. Some fields have crops, oil wells and wind turbines, each making money for the farmer in different ways. We have stayed five days, time to get on the road. Next stop Lawrence, KS, Clinton State Park and our first toll road, "The Great Kansas Turnpike"

Extra:	We sold our house in 2009 and moved onto our boat. We have recently retired and have cruising aspirations. We hope for the San Juans' this year, Alaska next and Mexico the year after.
