Winter escape to Oz

by Keith, cool but cozy
Out on deck in jeans and sweatshirts. Music, quarter moon, stars, and my little ceramic space heater pumping out heat from shore power below deck. Same heater that kept me warm in Sedona a few weeks ago. It won't get freezing because the sea, but it will get quite cold tonight outside. Inside it will be warm and dry and cozy with electric heat and a small electric blower. If I was at anchor I could use the brass oil lantern for heat as it puts out a lot, but I'm paying for power and dock space, so I may as well use it. There was a red flag warning when I arrived (for the third trip in a row), but it looks relatively calm tomorrow and the next day. No matter, staying at dock is like camping or staying on the hard at dry storage, but a lot better.
