Lemons Way

Continuing adventures, observations, and images.

Morning in the scenic pueblo

It was blowing a northern when we arrived and has continued pretty much non-stop since then. No way any sailboats are going out in this. But we are safely docked and have a modern space heater to keep us warm at night and a modern marine air conditioner to keep us cool during the day. Levi, who has been a bit sick, took a long nap this afternoon. Celia and I went together to refill our five gallon jug with agua alkalina and pick up meat for carne asada taco dinner. We brought the meat to the guy next door who grills it over coals with salt for twenty pesos. Celia made me give him 30. Less than $2. It’s been a relatively painless transition to boat life for me this trip, more or less so for others in the family. Paul came down with us and is with Jason and Honey the Golden getting ready to cross, cruise south, and head back up the pacific side. We are staying put here in Marina Real for a while longer, maybe more. More refit in the works.
