This is the last night of Hanukkah, the 9th or 10th celebrated in this home. Now it is being slowly packed up and cleaned for a new family to make memories within its walls. Things have slowed again at the family law office. I received notice this afternoon the Court is reverting back to a stay at home order, meaning only essential hearings again, like orders of protection and other emergency matters. Let's hope the vaccine comes soon and that it works to defeat this plague that culls the old and sick and continies to devastate our economy,if not the residential real estate market here in Tucson. This second, possibly larger wave was predicted, and here it comes. Frankly, I'd feel safer in Sonora. People are more careful there and more considerate to the needs of the community. Rosa's Restaurant in San Carlos closed complety for no other reason than they were a very popular restaurant with locals and tourists and they felt a responsibility to the community to close in order to limit the spread. That place only ever closed on major holidays. Most places in San Carlos are take out or delivery only. Even the supermarkets limit the number of people who can come inside. Americans are so demanding of our individual rights and so unconcerned relatively for our neighbors, if we even know them at all.
