Sitting on deck in the sportaseat in the darkness, no moon. Warm southern breeze and general humidity in the air. It was over 90 in the cabin when I arrived at the sailboat but the air conditioning has been cranking for the last 15 to 20 minutes while I've packed in and emptied the grocery bags into the fridge. It’s starting to become cool and dry inside, especially in the forward cabin, which is smaller than the main cabin but gets the same amount of cool air. It was near empty at the marina when I arrived well after dark. Even with air conditioning, it's so hot this time of year it drives most people to cooler places. I like it here in the summer, as long as the marine air conditioner is going strong, which it will be tonight and for the rest of the long San Carlos summer. Have I mentioned how much I appreciate marine air conditioning. So thankful we installed it on OZ. Makes summer visits possible and downright comfy and cozy. Air conditioning is a major focus of my life these days. I run the two units at the Tucson house, in the vehicles as I go from place to place, and everywhere I dwell. Even the Aliner RV is getting a new and upgraded AC delivered this week after the old one died on the last trip when it was 109 degrees. It rained for a lot of the way here. Torrential rain in parts, practically flooding the desert. Haven't seen anything like it in all my travels here. When it rains in Mexico, it rains big. Amazing sunset afterwards peeking out below the cloud level as it dissipated south of Hermosillo. Oh, and I brought a new friend along with me to try out and get familiar. OZ's little sister. Stay tuned.
