Marilyn and Robert’s house in San Carlos

Been an interesting several weeks here in Tucson, things beyond the scope even of this sailblog, but life is proceeding on, good times and bad times included in full measure. This photo shows a popular depiction from a popular artist who may have since passed. This painting is located inside the front gate to The Hicks' home in the Caracols. The house where I enjoyed a celebratory cocktail or two many years ago after acquiring the rehab project now known as OZ. One chapter closes and others, hopefully, open; if not for one, for others. It is the way. We called the agent and the price was way beyond my budget and I don't want a permanent home other than B1 anyway. Maybe one day I'll find one like this image to put across from my dining room table, or maybe one depicting the Hotel Del in Coronado. Either way, I am grateful for the blessing of this life, the beauty I have witnessed in paradises near and far and the occasional companion to enjoy along with.
