Left yesterday morning at 9 a.m. and arrived in about 6 hours, with only one stop for gas and one bathroom break near the Hermosillo toll. Enjoyed some time with friends, a wild but cozy night, then an 8 am departure. Breakfast at Jonnie's. Brought a half liter of their delicious refried beans home, so good. Worked most of the first part of the trip, culminating in coffee and forensic zoom review of bank statements while sitting at a booth in Elba restaurant. A relatively productive work day while on the road today. I do like working while adventuring. Picked up a few more of Elba's signature mugs to replace a chipped one on the sailboat as they only cost 60 or 70 pesos (3 or 4 dollars). Arrived back in Tucson at sunset, checked in with my mother, and now I am enjoying the afterglow, red orange and purple colors of the fading light. The adventures and experiences I am able to have on the sailboat are so unique and amazing. Altogether, I've had more than my fair share even though I rarely leave dock. It's like another world where I'm able to be my true self. What a blessing this landlocked kid from Tucson somehow got into sailboats. Yet another gift from my father. May you also find your place, time, and manner of adventure and realized dreams, dear blog groupies.
