The Tourists Waiting To Enter Graceland Mansion

26 May 2008
Keith, hot and humid
They don't let dogs into Graceland so I had to forgo the $60 tour and watch from the walls of the compound. What an industry they've created from him. The RV park manager said that it is a dying industry as the serious fans die off. If they get desparate, they can always make the house into a bed and breakfast, but they will have to store the airplanes and cars someplace. As you can see, it is doing just fine for now. Jake and Anne got to share in the fried chicken last night and this morning so they are happy. I've got hot water going and I'm going to shower and shave and then head off to Birmingham, Alabama. Hope to find some BBQ along the way. Shouldn't be hard since there are signs for BBQ at every town.

Keith is a 40 something year old Family Law Attorney from Tucson, Arizona who somehow managed to develop a love of sailboat cruising and adventure in spite of growing up in the desert. This blog used to be about how I become a n occasional coastal cruising sailor. [...]
