Back in the boonies

Cheryl's Notes:
We had talked about spending another day at Barefoot Landing, but decided that we had already seen everything that the immediate area had to offer. We left this morning at about 7:45 and continued south. We left at low tide and worried making it through the remainder of "the Rockpile", but a trawler docked in front of us said that the worst was behind us. We decided to take his advice and we followed him.
We had an uneventful day. The sun was shining, the winds were low and we only had one swing bridge to clear through. We could have gone farther today, but John reminded me that it was Sunday, and he wanted to catch a little football. So we went 38 miles and set the hook behind Butler Island. It is beautiful here, and there are eagles nested in the trees along the shore.
John's Notes:
Are you ready for some football?? Currently watching the second half of New England and Miami. Not sure what the second game will be. This one is close. Vikings have a bye week so I didn't miss anything there. Great anchorage.
Just had a call from our friend Pat Nordsji and she wants us to catch up with a friend of theirs. He has a boat just like hers, a Pearson 424. No sooner got off the phone with her and five minutes later this guy calls us. He is only a few miles from us in Georgetown and we agreed to meet up tomorrow. From the sounds of it, he has made this trip a few times. He will probably have lots of information for us. He is headed to Charleston like we are. From there, I don't think he has a definite plans. We plan on spending at least a couple of days in Charleston.
