How the other half live

Cheryl's Notes:
We left Hobe Sound this morning with Lake Worth in North Palm Beach as our projected destination. It was a short haul, but we had six bridges to go through. Some opened on request, and some on the hour and the half-hour. We lucked out and timed them all perfectly. We were anchored by 10:45 in the morning.
Our view from the water today changed drastically. We saw some houses today that were so big, they should have had their own zip codes. We couldn't get any pictures as we were too close and couldn't fit the whole house into the camera frame. And the boats are getting bigger, too. We saw one today that almost fit all of our criteria. Complete walk around decks, check. Plenty of storage and tankage, check. Bigger galley, check. Fits into our budget, oops. I think that the boat was probably around 7 million. Which brings us to our Tiger encounter today. He keeps his yacht, "Privacy" (I know, the name says it all) at the marina around the corner from here. I guess that he and his wife and daughter were seen boarding the boat today. Rumor has it that they are going to be traveling to the Bahamas for a little time away from the press. Maybe we can have them over to our boat for dinner when we get there. Besides, I have heard that he might be available soon and he does have a bigger boat.
After getting settled and a little lunch, we headed to shore with Bev and Arnie of Scandia. We stocked up on a few essentials, and picked up a chicken meal at Publix. We had a nice dinner on Scandia and discussed the next step in our journey. Here is our dilemma: We have a perfect window to cross to the Bahamas tomorrow. But, once we get there a weather front will be coming through. A really bad on with 50-60 knot winds. We could be stuck in one spot for over a week. Not bad except we were going to check in at Lucaya and spend a night or two in the yacht club there. We are willing to spend the money for a few nights, but we aren't willing to shell out the dough for a week or more. We have decided to work our way further south, possible Miami, and hole up until this weather front passes through. When the weather clears, we will probably cross over to Bimini and work our way from there.
John's Notes:
Pretty much an uneventful day. Everything is working so it has to be a good day. The weather was great today.
In all fairness, I have to tell you the real reason that we left Vero Beach. It is sooooooo embarrassing. On Saturday morning there were a bunch of us waiting for the bus in the marina to take us to the farmers market. Cheryl was chatting with a few of the girls and somehow the subject of diet and weight came up. Cheryl said something about how she seems to loose weight when we are cruising. She made a gesture indicating how loose her shorts were getting. Out of nowhere, Bev tugs on Cheryl's shorts and practically pulls them off of her. Now everyone in Vero Beach has seen her underwear.
