Time to single up the lines!

Cheryl's notes:
It is hard to believe that it has been over three months since we last posted an entry. We had a great holiday visit with all of our kids and another play production for our granddaughter, Maddey. While we really don't miss the snow, we do miss being close to family.
We have been busy with more boat projects since our return in February. I finished one of two rugs. The first one was for the salon area. Not bad for a first try. I even designed the pattern using colors from our new curtains. I am now working on a runner for down the middle of the boat. We commissioned a new cabinet to mount our table on. It has three shelves for books and a shelf for adult beverages. When the table is up, all is hidden behind. It is beautiful and functional at the same time. We will post pictures in our gallery.
We have also been getting the boat ready to start traveling again. We haven't left the slip in a year. We made sure that the engine on the boat is running well, and have checked the outboard and generator. I even got my cruising style short haircut. We are going to be heading back up to the Chesapeake for a few months. We want to revisit some places like DC and spend time discovering new spots. We don't have to stock up as much as for the Bahamas, but we want to leave with all of our water, fuel and propane tanks full. We haven't set a time limit for our trip. We have decided that we will keep moving until it isn't fun any more.
John's notes:
It's time to single up the lines and get ready to cast off. We have just about everything stowed below and the deck is getting cleared. Everything is just about ready. With that said, I'm sure that we are forgetting something or something else will need attention. Whatever it is, it will have to wait till we get back or we will repair or replace it while we are gone.
Seriously, we can't wait to get underway. The National Weather Service predicts a pretty active hurricane season this year but the Chesapeake offers lots of places to duck into if bad weather approaches.
I'd like to tell everyone what projects I worked on this winter. Unfortunately, Cheryl did all the creative stuff. Hey, I wrote checks to a few guys that did "stuff." It was exhausting. Well, it was mentally exhausting anyway.
We are looking forward to renewing acquaintances with some of the cruisers we have met over the last three years. Lots of them spend the summer in the Chesapeake. Of course, the new people you meet just add to the fun.
