Welcome To Our Sailing Web Site
03 March 2007

Welcome to Leu Cat Adventures! This is our web site where family and friends can track our sailing adventure as we try to sail around the world. This site is somewhat unique as we document not only our sailing adventures but we also documented the process we went through to get ready to start our adventure.
This web site is organized in a somewhat backwards fashion. It presents the latest entry first and the earliest entry last. Thus, if you wish to start in the beginning, you need to go the bottom entry and read up.
To help you get started, just go to the Table of Contents that is located on the right hand side of this page. There you can see the date and title of the various entries. A simple click of the mouse on the entry you wish to go to takes you there.
Also, we offer photo albums which supplement many of the entry logs. Just click on the "Photo Gallery" button that is located on top of the map located in the upper right side of this web page. For those of you who wish to see what Leu Cat looks like, we have created a photo album which introduces you to our boat through a photo tour.
We plan on adding videos as time goes by so you can experience some of our adventures in an "action" mode.
You also can track our progress on the map that is just under the Photo Gallery button. If you click on the map, a larger version pops up. Once it pops up you can click on the "Goggle Earth" button and it automatically takes you to a detailed aerial view of where we are. You need to have Goggle Earth software installed to see this. It is free software and if you do not yet have it, do get it. It is one of the most remarkable software packages I have seen. It lets you view anywhere in the world as if you are in a helicopter. Plus, if you check the "featured content" box under the "Layers" (which is located on the left edge of the page), you will see blue dots on the Goggle Earth location you are viewing. These blue dots represent photographs of the area you are viewing. Just click on the blue dots and you will be seeing exacting what we are looking at as we sail by or are at anchor. It is really neat!
We hope you enjoy our web site and please do leave us your thoughts and comments with each log entry we have. We will try to email you back if you leave us questions. It may take us a little while, please be patient.
So get ready to go sailing with us and explore the exciting parts of the world that are out there. If you share in our adventurous spirit, let us know and we will try to meet somewhere and share our adventure with you for a week or two.
