For the first time since 1998, our alma mater, University of Michigan, won the Big 10 Conference Championship by beating the very tenacious University of Wisconsin, 71 to 56! Whoo Hoo! It made our day…. Well, almost. What really made our day was talking to our two daughters, Heather and Christina, and Mary Margaret’s oldest sister, Lonie. Heather is a foster mom to a little baby, Victoria while Christina just celebrated her birthday yesterday. Lonie, is fighting cancer but she shared some very good news and we are hopeful that she will soon have a positive recovery from the Big C.

Thus, as you can see from the above, today was a very good day! Since it is Sunday, we both took it a bit easy. However, I just had to finish a couple of nagging boat projects dealing with what I call our Dungeons. We have two holds, far up in the bows of our boat. Each hold was leaking a little bit of water that was driving me crazy. I had spent the last few days emptying each Dungeon and then inspecting to find where the water was coming from. In the port Dungeon, the leak was from a few thru-hulls, where large bolts penetrated the hull. I sealed these and then went to the starboard Dungeon. It looks to me that the hatch seal is the culprit and I tried to address this leak by adding rubber dressing, in hopes of reliving the rubber seals. We will have to keep a close look on each of these leaks to see if I have addressed them. Each Dungeon leak is very minor but I am a stickler when it comes to leaks.
