Before they left, we had a chance to have breakfast together at a local eatery and then share some weather information. While Michael and Ron were at Leu Cat looking at some of my weather apps, Michael showed me how to successfully program our new RescueMe MOB1 personal beacons. I was trying to use their programming app that one downloads. Michael had the same problem that I was having in using that app but was successful when he used their online programming website. When we tried that website on my MOB1s, it worked so now the two personal beacons are now programmed to our VFH radio's DSC feature and to any other boat's DSC feature that may be in the area. Whoo Hoo!

Between time having breakfast, looking at weather apps, programming the MOB1s and sending S/V Captiva on her way, I called the Splendide Tech Center and worked on our washing machine. Following their advice, I removed and tested the pressure switch. It tested out just fine so their next advice was to run the machine at its express wash setting. We did that and the machine worked just fine. We then tried running it on its other wash settings but none of them worked. I will need to call them to get their next suggestion. It looks like this may take a few days to solve...

For dinner, Mary Margaret and I decided to walk over to the Charter House 1863 restaurant. We had a nice dinner of steamed mussels, red snapper and a chicken breast. The food was very good, although a bit pricey relative to what we are used to here. Everything was ala cart and by the time we were done with whipped potatoes and creamed spinach as sides, the bill came to about $100. That is about double what we have seen at other places. We are not sure if we will go back even though the fare was tasty.
