Arrived in Upernavik this morning and tied up to a halibut fishing boat, next to a small iceberg. It is raining, awaiting 30 knots wind this night.
We organized some fireworks for tomorrow, since Aug 1st is Swiss national day, but as there is no night here (the sun - when there is sun - stays up all night), they will be less fun than usual?
Upernavik lies at a latitude of 72.47 North, this is the furthest north we will sail to in Greenland. We plan to refuel and restock tomorrow, and then leave on Aug 2nd to cross Baffin Bay (450 Nm, 3 days) to reach Devon Island, our first stop in Canada.
