Libellule on the dry

01 July 2014 | Raiateia, Chantier Naval Îles sous le Vent
Another long sailing night behind us. 18 hours on the sea. The length of the navigations is never a problem but we hate it when the rain is pouring down and we cant sit outside. Naïma has found a great trick against seasickness: listen to good music... and sing. That works! We arrived at Raiatea at 8am this morning: just in time to take Libellule out of the water!

The Chantier Naval des Îles sous le Vent doesn't have any crane so Libellule got lifted out with the help of a... tractor! It was very impressive to see our big dragonfly emerging from the water like that. Philipp and Yves were busy the whole day with preparing the boat for demasting, particularly the electrics and electronics. So many cables in a mast! It is crazy. We will demast tomorrow and Libellule will hopefully be able to navigate again next week. Fingers crossed.
