We're ready to go, finally.
The crew:
3 French sailors (Yves, Sylvain, Pauline)
4 Swiss mountaineers (Philipp with damaged rib, Ueli, Leif, Conrad).
Everyone made it safely to Ushuaia/Tierra del Fuego with loads of luggage.
Destination: Antarctic Peninsula.
After a short stop in Puerto Williams/Chile, the plan is to cross the Drake Passage to Deception Island. Then spend a week climbing in Whittle Peninsula area or around Brabant/Anvers Island; another two weeks climbing on the peninsulas further south between 65°30'S and 66°30'S. And then finally cross back up to Tierra del Fuego. Everything will depend on weather, ice conditions and shore access, however, particularly further south around the Antarctic Circle.
Back in civilization in early February.
