First blood. Except for the myriad bashes my head has taken leaving it a banged up, scabby mess, the rest have faired well until today. The boat was flying along under the Code Zero in 15 knots of wind doing 8 knots when a POW occurred and the sail drooped. Quite a droop, creating an unbelievable foredeck crisis as we pulled the sail down by hand to protect it from getting ripped to shreds. Now I know that you bring the boat up to 20 degrees or so off the wind so the sail will fall on the side deck as myself and Jill made like Noah and Leslie in a fun house grabbing handfuls of thrashing sail cloth and trying to get it down and out of the wind and stuff the whole lot in a hole. Went fairly well actually and nobody went over the side. Set the jib and back in business. Now we find a sailmaker with a sewing machine.
