Recently, we went on an all-day sailing and paddleboarding expedition on Southwestern Pennsylvania's beautiful Lake Arthur. The conditions were ideal, and after loading up our Catalina 250, we were off.
Our plan was to sail out, anchor down, and then do some off-boat SUP exploration. We prefer
inflatable paddle boards for boating because they won't damage the boat deck and can be deflated and rolled up for easy storage in the cabin.
After a beautiful time sailing across the lake, we picked an ideal spot to anchor down and pulled out the paddle board. The board that we brought along was the

After suiting up, the three children onboard jumped in the water and crawled onto the paddle board. Locked and loaded with three excited kiddos, the oldest began to paddle the younger two around — exploring the surrounding area.
While keeping an eye on the kids, the adults kicked on some tunes and lounged in the beautiful sunlight. The afternoon air was the perfect temperature — it was one of those days that you don't want to end.
After the kids were done, they paddled back to the Catalina 250 and we pulled them and the SUP onboard. As evening approached, we began our sail back to the marina, docked the boat, and loaded all of our gear back in our SUV.
Everyone had a wonderful time sailing that day on Lake Arthur, and I'd highly recommend it if you're in the area.
