Still Waiting

28 March 2010 | Stuart, FL
jbl
Well it has been a couple of days since my last post and that is because we haven't been doing much except sit and wait for the weather. There hasn't been a window for us since we were ready and it now looks like we won't cross until Wednesday the 31st or Thursday April 1st. C'est la vie of the cruiser.
In the meantime it has been project time as well as some socializing with the rest of the folks here in the anchorage. Lots of folks who have returned from the Keys or the Bahamas and are now getting ready to head north. Not many of us going the other way.
Yesterday Jim Goulard, great friend and classmate at Dartmouth, came up from his place on Jupiter Island. He provided transportation to the various stops we still needed to make (West Marine, Radio Shack, the Bank, etc.) and we had a terrific lunch at the Manatee Restaurant in Port Salerno. It was right on the water and we had a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy the food.
At the end of the day Sally and I took the dinghy for a long slow sundowner cruise. The photo records the beautiful sky as we enjoyed a nice warm lazy trip.
Bye for now. Time to start the next project.
