jbl
Well the night before and yesterday we're VERY interesting. After a wonderful dinner with Jim Goulard, Audrey Charleson and her friend Sarah Gibson Sally and I were treated with the most spectacular heat and strike lightning I have ever seen. The whole sky lit up and there were literally hundreds of simultaneous lightning strikes. Fortunately it was several miles away and we were able to make it to the boat in the dinghy. And then the wind picked up and during the night it rained harder that either of us had ever seen. It was a great leak test and Liliana passed with flying colors.
All day yesterday it rained and much of it was hard rain. By late afternoon it finally stopped and began to clear. This appears to be the last of any serious fronts coming through so we finally appear to have a window to cross.
Staying hasn't been all a negative as we have had to have a head part shipped overnight to fix what has been a non-functional toilet. And that would be a problem we would not want to have. It has just arrived as I write this and we should be all set to head for Lake Worth tomorrow and then cross early Thursday morning.
As you can see Sally has been enjoying today's brilliant sun by reading in the comfort of the marina deck chairs.
All for now.
