White Point

10 March 2020 | White Point, Great Guana Cay Exuma
The wind has been howling here for the last few days. We were anchored at Little Bay which was good for the North through Northeast winds but when they turned east we were getting more wind and swell. We clocked a high of 47 mph Sunday night so decided to move to a more protected spot. We picked up our anchor in 30+ knots of wind and moved a few miles away behind a higher point of land. It was ok at first but when tide changed we were rolling pretty badly. We rolled so bad that we bent the snap shackle on our flopper stoppers. David was up during the night fixing them. We moved again this morning a few more miles down the island to White Point. So far the anchorage seems nice. We went to the beach and had a nice hike. It was very beautiful. Still blowing around 25-30 but is expected to get below 20 tomorrow or the next day. Really tired of this wind.
