We finally made it back to our home port of Marina Beau Chene on the Tchefuncte River in Madisonville, LA. Took us 16 long days at sea from Farmers Cay Exuma to here. I think this is the longest we have been on board without touching land. We stopped for fuel twice, once at Marathon Fl and again at Perdido Key on the Florida/Alabama border. We weren't allowed off the boat either time, but that was fine with us.

Nick came and gave us a ride home. Its good to be home even though we are now just staying in. Normally when we get back I like catch up with family and friends but now am only doing this by phone. Hope things get back to semi-normal soon. Until then we are planning on doing chores around the house and maybe a few boat projects. We have plenty to keep us busy.

This year was not our best year of cruising. We left Marathon on an attempt to cross to the Bahamas and had to turn around due to weather not cooperating. Once we finally made it across to Nassau we received some sad news. One of our cruising friends, Bob of S/V Greenstone had passed away on his boat while in the Bahamas. He was greatly missed. We were consistently plagued by windy weather most of the time we were there. The water was also cool so we didn't do much snorkeling. Just when the weather seemed to be moderating Covid reared its ugly head and changed everyone's plans.

However, we did get to have a good time seeing old friends as well as making new ones. Hope to see you all again next season. Stay Safe

While passing through Pensacola Bay we got to enjoy a practice run by the Blue Angels of Pensacola NAS. We had our own private airshow for about an hour. What a great way to pass the time while slowly motoring west toward home.
