Tarpon Basin for Thanksgiving

23 November 2015 | Tarpon Basin at Key Largo
Jill / breezy and sunny
Looks like we'll be staying anchored in Tarpon Basin to wait out the strong winds until possibly early next week. This morning Tim and Bud helped each other set out a second anchor to get ready for strong winds and any wind shifts. It's so nice to have such good friends helping each other out whenever needed!! Tarpon Basin is a protected anchorage, so we'll be just fine.

Since we'll be here for Thanksgiving Day, we just made out our menu for what sounds like a delicious turkey dinner with all the fixings. Our boat oven is not very large, but I'm sure we can find a turkey small enough to bake in our oven. Tim even decided to make sausage stuffing for the turkey rather than using the boxed stuffing mix. One thing is for sure, the four of us certainly do eat good on our boats!!

We'll miss spending Thanksgiving Day with our families, but we're thankful that we'll be spending the holiday with our wonderful friends, Bud and Jen!!

Happy Thanksgiving to our loving family and friends!!
