The day was more of yesterday, More no wake zones with boats making huge wakes, timing of bridge openings and lots of slow zones. The houses are amazing and every once in a while next to a gazillion dollar home there will be a small house from the 50s era. I guess some people are hold outs on selling. We also saw another barge full of boats headed to the scrapyard in Jacksonville.
Then we hit the Palm Beach area with mega yachts everywhere. I then started looking on my charts for Mar-A-Lago. I figured there would be mention of security around that even though President Trump is not there yet. Susan and I guessed wrong about Mar-A-Lago as there are other places that are that size along the Palm Beach Shore. We finally found it on google maps and then could see the oversized flag that had gotten the Donald in trouble before he was president. $250 / day fine for flying what the Palm Beach ordinance said was too big a US flag. Hey when you have 20 acres you need a big flag. Anyhow, the club was too far away and didn’t really face the ICW to get a good picture. I believe Mar-A-Lago really faces the Atlantic. The property does run from the Atlantic to the ICW.
All of a sudden two push boats maneuver about a 90-100’ yacht out in front of us to tow it for repairs somewhere I suppose. Weirdly there was a tow boat on both the bow and the stern of the yacht. What was weird was the tow boat at the stern was being dragged backwards tied to the transom of the yacht. I guess he was being dragged along to be used later. This jumbled up mess was moving at a pretty good speed, so I just hung back there until we reached our turn off to our destination for the night.

I was pretty whipped and just wanted a shower. It had been hot all day and the sun is basically in your eyes all day long too when heading south.
We took in the special of pasta night at the Yacht & Racquest club. It was delicious. Just special and the service was above outstanding. We really enjoyed ourselves. Tomorrow would be our last leg of our journey south to our destination marina in Miami.
Today’s picture is one marina / yard near Palm Beach with the mega yachts.
