The last two days have been about the same. We are just running North up the ICW in Florida. As I write this this morning it’s 56º. I t was 46º yesterday morning. Seems Like we are already back in Virginia. However, we have had no snow!! I have turned the heat on! We’ve have run no AC/or Heat since January.

Yes we are on the ICW, kind of the i95 of boating. In fact we cross under route 1 bridges as we travel North. The same trains that run along route 1 in Virginia are blowing their horns down here. I even catch glimpses of the trains every once in a while.

The last two days we have had strong cold winds out of the north on our nose as we head that direction. Both days we have not had a favorable tidal current. The days have been exhaustingly slow making under 6 knots much of the time. I’m running the engine at what should be 6.5 knots. So, we are going about 10% slower and burning more fuel than normal. 50 mile’s in 8 hours is slow.

Getting underway in a few minutes for Palm Cove Marina in Jacksonville.

Today’s picture is almost sunset from our bow Marineland.
