BROOKE SMITH | Nice
Docked - Berkley Marina Ocracoke, NC

Final day of Ocrafolk. It was wonderful seeing all the different kinds of music on two stages. I loved all of the groups. And, then many of them started asking different members of groups to sit in. That was magical. The jam at the end of the day was so many different groups on stage passing voices and instrument solos around. That was so cool.

Tomorrow we are going to cast the lines off and head north up the Pamlico Sound to Manteo once again. And, then work our way back up to our home port in Mathews. Our destination of Ocracoke and the festival were worthy of the entire trip. But you cannot beat cruising on a boat to places that other’s come by car and stay in cottages or campers. There is a different perspective from sitting on our boat. We know we are different and fortunate to see water ports as they were meant to be, by water.

I went to the shore and took a lot of sunset pictures. The sun was not in view. Lots of people were there though and hopeful of a sunset picture

The sun was behind a cloud bank. But this girl kayaking sort of says it all for Ocracoke.
