Day 18 Fall Cruise November 3, 2023

We’ve been joking with the locals that we have moved to Ocracoke. Yes, we’ve become North Carolina residents. The weather made us do it. There is no foreseeable forecast that allows us to go north to Virginia. It is marginal though Sunday. The Pamlico Sound is our biggest body of water to cross 45 miles. The forecast for tomorrow ( Saturday ) is 15 knots out of the North. We might make a break for it on Sunday. And, we might turn right around and come back to the dock if we don’t like the Pamlico. The wind is much better north of the Pamlico. It’s strange how where we are going on Sunday it’s only 66 miles and forecast is 5-10 knots.
We bought 2 lbs of shrimp and two red drum fish cakes from the seafood co-op. So, that’s everything we need. Took the golf cart to the Pamlico Sound to catch the sunset today. Ocracoke has the best sunsets.
So, that’s about it for the past two days. Not much to write about really.
Today’s picture is sea oats with the sunset.
