We are off the dock at 8am and head up the Northumberland straight to Charlottetown 46nm away. The morning is beautiful. The sails are hoisted and we sail at six knots under Confederation Bridge helped along with a 1 knot current.
Spectacular!
We arrive at six o’clock and it looks like its happy hour on the Charlottetown Yacht Club docks. We no sooner get a drink in our hands and a plate of fresh steamed mussels is delivered to us from a fishing boat crew tied up at the end of our dock. It’s off to The Old Dublin Irish pub for some music and Guinness, life is good.
