We learned as of 12:15 am this morning that the crew of Raindancer, whose sailboat sank yesterday, has been found and rescued. The
catamaran Rolling Stone was the first vessel to arrive and was able to locate the liferaft with the four crew and get them safely
aboard their vessel. Rolling Stone was anchored next to us in Santa Cruz/ Puerto Ayora. The six World ARC boats that were
responding to the emergency, including Lover Of The Light, have diverted their course back to sailing to Hiva Oa in the Marquesas.
We were 28 miles away from the Raindancer liferaft when they were rescued by Rolling Stone. It is a great blessing that the
Raindancer crew are rescued and safe!
We are now sailing on a course of about 270 degrees true at 5.5-6.5 knots.
Distance sailed: 1,908 miles
Distance to Marquesas: 1,292 miles
