Day 6

Well so much for a nice down wind sail to the Marshall's. Due to a Low Pressure trough that we hope to be North of today the winds have been totally wrong. The last 24 nrs we have had the wind on the nose, not the direction we want, fortunately they remain fairly light (10-14kts). We should be having the wind over our STBD quarter. The good news is according to yesterdays wind forecast, the winds should start returning to the East- NE late today and into tomorrow. Then it should be a straight run to Majuro, as it is now we are tacking off to the NE (030), about 55 deg right of course. The watches are going well. I stand watch from after dinner, till around 0130, Kathy takes it from 0130 till 0600, then I go back down till around 0900. We both are in the cockpit all day so there is no official watch, except I navigate and handle all sail adjustments, and she does school and meal prep. I think I have the better end of that one. It's kind of a good thing she has no interest i n sail handling. The boys got over there initial 48 hrs of sea sickness. Now they spend there days before, during, and after school drawing, playing Legos, and War, with any kind of fighter they can make up. So all's well here, and will soon be better when the wind shifts. Cheers
