LAND HO! At 0345 I sighted lights ashore from 8 miles, probably the airport beacon or runway lights, and by 0545 we were approaching the last couple of waypoints before Callalin Channel into Majuro Atoll. Allen took over then, and when I got back up at 0800 we were finally at the channel's entrance markers.
After motoring across the lagoon, we found S/V Swan's old mooring ball and hooked up at 1030. Feels like coming home again! And all the more so that a brief shower doused us minutes before picking up the ball! We promptly got the dinghy overboard and the motor installed on the transom, as we had an 1130 appointment with officialdom at Shoreline. Allen took all the paperwork in case they didn't want to come out to the boat, which he probably didn't want them to come out because I baked a cake and he wants it all to himself! ha ha ha
So, once we're cleared in, we'll take our shaky legs ashore and go to Payless Supermarket, as we only have a few potatoes and a pumpkin left! Looks like we'll have cake for lunch! We'll check internet eventually, and I'm sure we'll all be early to bed! It feels very weird to be still!!! We are 19 hours ahead of the west coast USA.
This will be the last single sideband radio upload for a while, I hope! Thanks for sailing vicariously with us! Love Song and crew
