Heading South
Well, we are making tracks, just slowly. We passed the equator and are now in the South Pacific Ocean, as opposed to the North Pacific Ocean. As soon as we crossed the equator, the color of the water changed from dark blue to light blue and the wind died..... No, not really. Nothing exciting happened, but it does mean we have 500 miles to go. The wind is still not exactly what we need so we are tacking a lot and moving forward slowly. But we are getting there.
Yesterday was making water day and charging batteries. Making water requires us to be on a port tack and both options take up most of the day. I love making water days because it means we get a shower. After three weeks at sea, everyone looks forward to a real shower and hot water. Nothing like it. Today's blog is short and sweet. Doing well, just busy with boat tasks.
Oh yes, we are aware that there were some technical issues with getting our blogs posted. It appears to be fixed now. As always, we can't see what you post on the blog until we reach land and a good wifi connection. More to come...
