We are docked at RAM marina which is on the eastern shore of Shell Bay so to get to town we use our dinghy to cross the river and tie up at one of the local restaurants. From there it's a short walk up to the main street. This is also one of the main highways of Guatemala connecting to Puerto Barrios, a large commercial port. So.....commercial traffic flows right through the town, picture 18 wheelers inches away as you walk the street. Alice snapped a few pictures of life on the street that I've now uploaded to the Gallery.
I'm the cruisers net controller Monday and after I finish and close it down we'll be hauling LB. She'll be on the hard for a while as we take on a few more projects to make her safer and more beautiful.
It's getting hotter here with temps from low eighties to low nineties. The breeze fills in mid afternoon and with our fans full on we are very comfortable.
