The Voyages of s/v Lucky Bird

Yesterday they sprayed the non-skid areas on LB's deck. So what's left to finish.

1. Soften up the non-skid surface
2. Replace all the fittings removed before painting, a big job!
3. Sand and paint the topsides, the hull from the deck to the waterline
4. Add the cove stripes, port and starboard, and the boot top.
5. Place the decals.
6. Final inspection
7. Move her out of the paint shed.

Then we can do our remaining projects while living aboard on the hard. We'll work until around August 13th and THEN!! we head off on a land and sea based journey. South to Antigua, Guatemala, next to Lake Atitlan and the volcanoes, next the Galapagos Islands for a cruise, Machu Picchu and back to Rio Dulce and Lucky Bird around September 6th.

South to the Western Caribbean

This is our second journey south to the Caribbean. This time we've chosen to exit Lake Michigan and proceed south through the in-land waterway system to Mobile. We'll start around Labor Day and take our time exploring the history of middle America.
