A twist on the waltz!

The channel into La Paz is long and narrow, and the Bahia La Paz is a large body of water. This can make for strong currents as the tides come in and go out. The boats at anchor (i.e. not in a marina) swing around with the currents, and can end up facing different ways depending on their hull and keel shapes and how much anchor line they have out... this is know as the La Paz Waltz! Mum created an updated version on her first night with us: we visited Nyami-Nyami for dinner which meant we had to transfer from our dinghy onto their boat - we all have different versions of what happened next! All I know is that within seconds Mum and I were in the water... in the channel... doing our own version of the La Paz waltz!! We laughed until we almost cried! The tide was slack and the water warm!! That was her introduction to our friends and La Paz!
We had a fabulous week with her - she is such a sport and we dragged her all over - up down streets and right on left turn only! up mountains, around the islands in the dinghy; we fed her everything from tacos to chilli relleno to yellowtail sushi, and she loved my new margaritas! She, like Stephen, soon became a quesadilla/guacamole fan! We collected shells until Nev said "NO MORE!"! One day we collected 49 cowries between the two of us! We visited Isla Espiritu Santo and Isla San Francisco and her and I did a day drive to Pichilingue, Bahia Bandalera and Tecolote.
And when drama hit on Tuesday she was a trooper! She spent 5 hours in our loo (it took a long time for the compazine suppositories to kick in!) - but still her sweet smile encouraged me as she hung onto her bucket!
Thanks for the visit Mum, we loved every minute and can't wait for you to visit again! And thanks for the dance! xxx
