Sunrise and farewell.

I've already concluded that a blog a day is not going to be enough! There is so much to tell...
Doug from Canada convinced me I'd made a mistake ditching my poncho, so I bought another as well as rubber caps for my poles and a plastic cup, knife and fork, a cork screw and some local fixings for salad for dinner.
Our family style dinner last night, after Dee (in the picture with me) and I had spent the evening taking in a local game of pelote, a traditional and fascinating game of ball traditional to the basque people, was delicious!
There was much chatter and laughter and only one moment of prolonged silence when I admitted that I voted for Trump, but it passed quickly, thank goodness!!
We all went to bed early since today was a BIG day- day one of our Camino.
Dee is waiting for her daughter to arrive today; they will walk together. I felt so attached to her already and it was sad saying goodbye - I hope our steps catch up somewhere along the way.
The sunrise was breathtaking this morning and there was no sign of rain.
I felt totally blest, especially since the words read in my quiet time reassured me of God's strength when my body is weak!!!
Thank You for Your Word!
Thank You for this moment...
