A Princess in Portomarín.

Yes, there were definitely more pilgrims on the path today but I had fun at our first stop stamping credentials and feeling honored to be putting their first stamp on their brand new credentials!
I also sense an urgency amongst us more seasoned pilgrims as we draw ever closer to Santiago:
an urgency to savor every moment
an urgency to connect and chat
an urgency to explore why we did this in the first place!!
The walk seemed easy today, probably because the weather was lovely and so were the people and chats along the way, including a lunch time stop for a glass of wine and a serving of my new most favorite thing: fresh cow cheese slathered in honey!!
Portomarín is pretty as it sits on a hill above a large, flowing river, all the houses painted white, a large simple church in its center.
And my hostel had a free washing machine and dryer, and a roof top terrace with lounger where I plonked myself and my feet in the warm afternoon sun for the rest of the afternoon, feeling completely like a Princess!!!
