A need to slow down!

The rain held off again today and I was so thankful.
Unexpectedly, I ran into Kathleen at breakfast this morning and my plans for my last day alone on the Camino with my music and my thoughts quickly changed!
We walked and talked all day and agreed to slow our pace down as the reality of this being the second to last day of our trek sunk in.
We shopped for homemade leather goods from a delightful old guy who happily sold us almost everything he had and loved posing for a photo.
We stopped for coffee because the vine covered patio looked inviting.
We stopped at a beer garden covered in the signed, empty beer bottles of thousands who had enjoyed a beer there before us! (Talk about a roaring trade!!) Such fun.
We stopped to ponder a long line of quotes and questions randomly strung along the road.
And now we have stopped at my last hotel on the way, set beside a river on the outskirts of O Pino and filled with the peace and tranquility I longed for at the end of this 13 mile day.
Its been the perfect slow down.
