The wine is fine.

With hundreds of vineyards to choose from it was hard to know where to start our day of wine tasting...
Clearview Estate has beautiful, clear views of the ocean...
Elephant Hill's tasting room was unique and modern and lovely...
but the last two were our favorites!
Mission Vineyard is the oldest in Hawkes Bay and has been producing wine since 1851, initially for the clergy of the nation...
thankfully they serve their yummy wines to us lay people these days!!
The restored Mission building was a gorgeous setting for our tasting, and we also enjoyed watching the activity about us as they prepared to host 25,000 people the next day for a Phil Collins concert!!
Church Road Winery's claim to fame, besides their really good wine (my best), is being the first vineyard in New Zealand to sell wine to the public ....
"Yay! yay! yay!" is all I can say to that!
Their high ceilings, huge wooden beams and tasting room filled with old barrels all smelled so good, enhancing our experience.
So our rental car is now full to the brim with sunshine and fine wine!!
Wish you could all be here to share it with us 🍷🍷😘
