After 6 months of prescribed limited activity and bedrest, I can't tell you how good it is to be out and walking again!!

This morning I walked the Kaikoura Peninsula Walkway, an 8 mile loop that was stunningly beautiful as the trail followed the coastline around the peninsula, past the furry seal colony and on to Whaler Point, before a meander through some farmland back to town.
I'm a bit slow yet and my body is going to shout at me later, no doubt, but it was so worth it.
I stopped for lots of pictures...
everywhere I looked was beautiful...
and I've decided to change my description of the mountains from snow-capped to snow covered which is really what they are now that the clouds have totally lifted!
This is one beautiful town and I'm really glad we planned two nights here...
