A word from the Captain!

Maggie suggested we go for an 8 mile walk, or would I like to go fishing? The weather was pretty gnarly but you can guess what I chose!
After meeting Jerry and Andy we pulled up crayfish traps and threw out quite a lot that were too small but kept 4 nice sized ones.
Normally they go out to a drop off canyon which is one of the largest in the world but due to the weather we only went half way.
Caught some blue cod, red cod and some perch.
I was fortunate to see a royal albatross with its amazing wingspan - loved watching it glide overhead.
Jerry invited Mags and I back to his house at 4:30 to cook the crayfish coz we don't have a big enough pot on JURNEE. We enjoyed his hospitality and stories and learned a lot about life here and how to cut up a crayfish!! We brought one home for dinner.
Great day.
Love this town...
Could easily live here: fishing, golf, rugby people, mountains, snow, beach, wine lands nearby!
