Plain sailing!

Maggie
We have arrived in Nelson, NZ, to lovely weather and a lovely warm welcome from Robynne and Elwyn, and Ian from New Plymouth, another buddy from 40 some years ago Europe days!!
Such fun to see them all reconnect... lots of stories will be told this weekend, for sure.
However, this has not been a week of plain sailing for us:
The chance of last minute standby flights looked horrid so we bought tickets to Auckland - ouch on the wallet!
We lost both of our injectable medications, I think at the TSA checkpoint - ouch on the wallet!
Our main suitcase didn't arrived in Auckland until Friday when we picked it up en route to Nelson, so no toiletries for three days - ouch on the wallet!
When we checked in for our Nelson flight today, turns out I'd screwed up and booked us for Thursday. No sympathy from Air New Zealand as new tickets were bought at full, last minute price - ouch on the wallet!!
My wine budget has been exhausted, I'm told by my honey, and I am on rations...
that's traveling for you!!
I think that's "three" so we should be in the clear for plain sailing from now on!
So good to see our friends and our JURNEE again...
Cheers!
